About Alumim Radishes

Rubisco is an agricultural cooperative company 50% owned by Kibbutz Alumim.

The company was founded in the early 2014, growing, harvesting, sorting, packing and marketing radishes, chiefly for export but also for the Israeli domestic market.

The radishes are grown mainly on Kibbutz Alumim.

The Rubisco packing plant is located on the outskirts of the town of Netivot, employing approximately 20 people.

During the season, the company works from morning to evening, and sometimes even 24 hours a day.

The production process: radishes grow mainly in sandy soils for approximately 25 days during the summer season, extending to about 55 days in the winter.
Radishes are harvested and on arrival at the packing plant are washed, leaves are removed, sorted according to size and packed.
Packed produce is stored in refrigeration until sent to different destinations around the globe.
