At the end of 2013 the farmers of Kibbutz Alumim were informed that they are winners of a Global GAP award for 2013. The prize was awarded to four winners, in India, Ecuador, Argentina and Kibbutz Alumim in Israel. Global GAP, an international organization, sets standards for certification of agricultural products around the world. (GAP = "Good Agricultural Practice"). The purpose of the organization – to ensure the integrity, transparency, harmony and consistency of global agricultural standards while promoting workers' health, safety and welfare and safeguarding the environment.
The Global GAP organization takes a comprehensive approach that looks not only at farming in the fields, but all stages of the agricultural process with a very wide lens, including a survey of working conditions and employment of workers, standards of packing house conditions and concern for the environment.
It is a great honor to be one of four winners in the world, and brings well-deserved recognition to the daily efforts of everyone involved in agriculture on Kibbutz Alumim.
Certifying that Kibbutz Alumim has been inspected by the Institute of Quality and Control (IQC) and is in compliance with the requirements of the National Organic Program (NOP) technical standard (USDA).

Certifying that Kibbutz Alumim is a select grower in the Marks and Spencer Field to Fork scheme for 2017-2018.
GRASP stands for GLOBALG.A.P. Risk Assessment on Social Practice, and is a voluntary ready-to-use module developed to assess social practices on the farm, addressing specific aspects of workers’ health, safety and welfare.
This certifies that Kibbutz Alumim is fully compliant with GRASP.
